Cart Abandonment Popup

An exit-intent popup shown specifically on the checkout or cart page, aimed at recovering a sale that is about to be left behind.

The average online store loses the large majority of started checkouts. A cart abandonment popup targets that exact moment, cursor heading for the close button with items still in the cart, with a reason to finish: a small discount, free shipping, or a reminder of what is about to be left behind.

Showing the actual cart contents inside the popup outperforms a generic offer, seeing the specific item again is often enough of a nudge on its own, before any discount is even needed.

This is a narrower, higher-intent case of the general exit-intent popup: same trigger, but tuned to a visitor who has already shown they want to buy, which is why it typically converts at a much higher rate than a site-wide exit popup.
