Discount Popup
A popup offering a percentage or fixed amount off in exchange for an email address or an immediate purchase.
A discount popup is the most direct trade in ecommerce: give up an email (or buy now) and receive a code worth real money. It converts well precisely because the value is unambiguous, unlike a vaguer "join our newsletter" ask.
Discounting every visitor by default erodes margin and trains shoppers to wait for a popup before buying at all. Reserve the biggest discounts for genuine exit-intent moments or first-time visitors, and offer smaller, non-monetary incentives, free shipping, early access, to everyone else.
Codes should be single-use and time-boxed wherever the platform allows it. An evergreen code that never expires and gets shared on coupon sites turns a targeted offer into a permanent price cut nobody decided on.
